Gemma, a talented roboticist, invents M3GAN, an advanced doll intended to be the ultimate companion for children and a support for parents. However, when Gemma becomes the guardian of her orphaned niece, she turns to the M3GAN prototype for assistance, which leads to unforeseen consequences.
